At ESI des 2 Alpes, the children's group classes are designed to offer a fun and enjoyable way to learn. clear, rewarding learning progression adapted to each levelFrom complete beginners to expert young skiers. At the end of each week, a medal is given to each child in recognition of their efforts and progress.

🎯 At which level should your child enrol?

The levels below correspond to those expected at the start of the week (before progression). Choose the level according to what your child already knows how to do when they arrive, so that they can be placed in the right group from day one.

🟢 Cristal International - Beginner or garden outing

This level is for children who have never skied or who have only been to a snow garden and obtained the Blue Mouse. They'll learn how to get equipped, how to glide on flat ground or a slight slope, how to stop and how to take their first steps on a snowplough.

👉 Is your child under 6 and not yet a Blue Mouse? Le kindergarten in Les 2 Alpes is the ideal environment to get off to a gentle start, with a playful approach tailored to toddlers.

🟤 Cristal de Bronze - Control begins

Your child knows how to stop and has already completed a few snowplough turns on a green runway ? He gains more control, develops his confidence and learns to link downhill runs together more effectively.

⚪Cristal d'Argent - Comfort on a blue runway

This level is for children autonomous on blue runsable to string together controlled turns, and gradually return to parallel skiing at the end of the turn.

🟠Cristal de Vermeil - Controlled turns

The child no longer ploughs snowit parallel skiing with fluidity on the slopes easy blue and red. He's starting to adapt his trajectories to the terrain.

🟡Cristal d'Or - Autonomy on red runs

Your child skis parallel on red track, varies the amplitude of its turns (short, medium, long), control your speed and adapt your style to the slope.

💎Cristal de Diamant - Advanced skier 

He skis on every runwayincluding black runsand in all types of snow and terrain (moguls, powder, etc.). The aim of this level is to refine technique and tackle the most varied conditions.

Group lessons are available from 4 years old via the Jardin des Neiges and from 6 to 12 years old for the classic groups.

We limit each group to a maximum of 10 children to guarantee personalised attention and optimum progress.

Lessons are given in French and English. Italian, Spanish and Dutch-speaking instructors are available on request.

For children in traditional classes: take a snack with you. There is no systematic break. For children in Snow Garden: a short break is provided during the session.

Yes, we strongly recommend that you book in advance via our website, by telephone or by e-mail. Places are limited and last-minute bookings do not guarantee availability.

Yes, a ski pass is required for children taking part in group lessons, with the exception of the Jardin des Neiges, which operates in the beginners' zone. The ESI St Christophe Les 2 Alpes offers preferential rates on children's ski passes for lessons. Please contact us if you would like to take advantage of this offer.

No, ski equipment is not included in our services. Each participant must come with its own equipment skis, boots, poles, helmet...

It is possible to hire your equipment in one of the many specialist shops in Les 2 Alpes.

Yes, lessons will continue whatever the weather conditions. Our instructors are trained to adapt to the weather and offer the best possible teaching conditions in complete safety. In the event of very bad conditions, they favour sheltered areas or adapted activities.

The meeting point is at the foot of the slopes, in front of the ESI St Christophe Les 2 Alpes kindergarten, well signposted.

Courses run from Sunday to Friday or Monday to Friday, depending on your day of arrival.

Le Kindergarten is designed for toddlers from 4 to 6 years old which have never skied. They discover sliding in a a safe, fun placewith a gentle teaching approach adapted to their age. The aim: to get them to enjoy skiing with confidence up to level Blue Mouse.

The level Cristal International is aimed at :

  • at children aged 6 to 12 beginners who have never skied,
  • or children aged 4 to 6 who have already obtained the Blue Mouse.

These courses take place outside the garden, on the beginners' areas of the resort, to progress in a reassuring environment with an ESI instructor.

We offer all levels, from beginners (Cristal International) to Cristal de Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond for the most advanced.

Classes run from 9.30am to 12pm. During the school holidays, a session from 2.30pm to 5pm is also available.
